Lingo Dice Terms and Conditions
Last Updated: August 1st – 2026
By registering for a class or program offered by Lingo Dice Inc., the student or the student’s parent or legal guardian agrees to the following terms and conditions.
1. Registration and Enrollment
Registration is not complete until the required registration form and payment have been received. Enrollment is subject to availability and may be closed once a class reaches capacity.
Lingo Dice may require a placement assessment to determine the most appropriate class or level for a student. Placement recommendations are based on the student’s age, language proficiency, and available class options.
2. Tuition and Payment
Tuition must be paid according to the payment schedule listed for each class or program. Families are responsible for ensuring that payments are made on time.
Tuition reserves the student’s place in the class and covers instruction, lesson preparation, and standard learning materials unless otherwise stated. Registration fees, textbooks, special supplies, field trips, or other program-specific expenses may be charged separately.
Late or unsuccessful payments may result in the suspension of the student’s participation until the account is brought up to date.
3. Withdrawal and Refund Policy
Registration fees are nonrefundable.
A parent or adult student wishing to withdraw must submit a written cancellation request by email. Unless a program listing states otherwise, at least 14 days’ written notice is required before the next scheduled monthly payment.
Payments already processed are nonrefundable after the relevant class period or program has begun. No refunds, credits, or prorated tuition will be provided for classes missed because of personal travel, scheduling conflicts, illness, changes in family circumstances, or a student’s decision not to attend.
Refund policies must be clearly communicated to customers before purchase. California generally permits businesses to establish their own disclosed refund policies.
4. Group-Class Attendance
Regular attendance is important for student progress and classroom continuity.
Students who miss a group class are not entitled to a refund, tuition credit, private replacement lesson, or make-up class. When available, the teacher may provide information about the missed lesson or assigned work, but this is not guaranteed.
Students should arrive on time and be prepared to participate. Repeated tardiness or early departure may affect the student’s progress.
5. Private-Lesson Cancellation Policy
Private lessons may be canceled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice, subject to instructor availability.
Lessons canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice, or missed without notice, will be counted as completed and charged in full. Exceptions may be considered for documented emergencies at the discretion of Lingo Dice.
A rescheduled lesson must be completed within the time period specified by Lingo Dice and cannot be carried forward indefinitely.
6. Classes Canceled by Lingo Dice
If Lingo Dice cancels a class because of instructor illness, facility closure, severe weather, technical problems, or another circumstance within its control, Lingo Dice may provide:
- A rescheduled class;
- An online replacement session;
- A substitute instructor;
- A tuition credit; or
- A refund for the canceled class.
The method provided will depend on the circumstances and the type of program.
Lingo Dice is not responsible for indirect costs incurred by families because of a cancellation, including transportation, childcare, missed work, or other personal expenses.
7. Class Schedule and Program Changes
Lingo Dice reserves the right to make reasonable changes to class schedules, instructors, classrooms, learning platforms, curriculum, or program format when necessary.
A class may be combined, postponed, moved online, or canceled if minimum enrollment is not reached. If Lingo Dice cancels an entire program before it begins, affected families will receive a refund of the tuition paid for that program.
8. Student Conduct
Students are expected to:
- Treat instructors, staff, classmates, and facilities respectfully;
- Follow classroom and safety instructions;
- Participate without intentionally disrupting the learning environment;
- Use respectful and age-appropriate language;
- Take care of materials, equipment, and property; and
- Refrain from bullying, harassment, threats, or unsafe behavior.
Lingo Dice will communicate with the parent or guardian when behavioral concerns arise. Serious, repeated, or unsafe behavior may result in temporary removal or dismissal from the program.
A student dismissed because of serious or repeated misconduct may not be eligible for a refund.
9. Health and Safety
Parents and guardians must provide accurate information about allergies, medical conditions, learning needs, behavioral needs, and other circumstances that could affect the student’s safe participation.
Students should not attend an in-person class when they have a contagious illness, fever, vomiting, or symptoms that could place others at risk.
Lingo Dice staff may provide basic first aid when appropriate. In an emergency, staff may contact emergency services and make reasonable efforts to reach the parent, guardian, or emergency contact. Parents and guardians remain responsible for medical costs associated with emergency care or transportation.
10. Arrival, Dismissal, and Authorized Pick-Up
Parents and guardians are responsible for ensuring that children arrive and are picked up at the times stated for the program.
A child will be released only to a parent, legal guardian, or individual authorized by the parent or guardian. Lingo Dice may request identification before releasing a child.
Parents must inform Lingo Dice in writing of any changes to the authorized pick-up list. Children may not leave independently unless prior written authorization has been approved.
Late pick-up fees may apply when a child is collected after the stated dismissal window. The applicable fee and grace period will be communicated for each program.
11. Online-Class Requirements
Students participating online must have a reliable internet connection, a suitable device, working audio, and access to the required learning platform.
Students should join from a quiet and appropriate learning space. Younger students may need adult assistance with logging in, technology, and materials.
Lingo Dice is not responsible for classes missed because of problems with the student’s device, internet connection, login credentials, or home environment.
Students and families may not record, photograph, copy, share, or distribute online classes, instructor materials, or images of other participants without written permission.
12. Learning Materials and Intellectual Property
Curriculum, worksheets, presentations, recordings, videos, assessments, books, and other materials provided by Lingo Dice are protected instructional materials.
They are provided for the registered student’s personal educational use only and may not be copied, sold, published, uploaded, distributed, taught commercially, or shared with individuals who are not enrolled without prior written permission from Lingo Dice.
13. Photography and Media
Lingo Dice may occasionally photograph or record classroom activities, projects, or special events. A separate parent or guardian authorization will be obtained before an identifiable child’s image, voice, name, or work is used for public marketing or promotional purposes.
Families may decline media authorization without affecting the student’s enrollment. Written consent is a prudent safeguard when identifiable images or recordings of minors will be used publicly.
Parents and students may not photograph or record other students without permission.
14. Student Information and Privacy
Information collected during registration will be used to administer the program, communicate with families, process payments, support student learning, and respond to health or safety needs.
Parents should complete registration forms on behalf of children and should not instruct children under 13 to submit personal information independently. Federal child-privacy rules generally require parental permission before websites collect personal information directly from children under 13.
Lingo Dice will not intentionally sell student information. Information may be shared with instructors, service providers, schools, charter-school programs, emergency personnel, or other parties when reasonably necessary to deliver the program, process authorized payments, meet contractual requirements, or protect health and safety.
15. Communication
The parent, guardian, or adult student is responsible for providing a current email address and telephone number and for reviewing program communications.
Official notices, schedule changes, payment reminders, and other important information may be sent by email, text message, the learning platform, or another designated communication method.
16. Educational Progress
Lingo Dice is committed to providing high-quality instruction, but individual progress depends on several factors, including starting level, age, attendance, participation, practice, and learning needs.
Registration does not guarantee a specific grade, proficiency level, academic credit, examination result, or amount of progress.
17. Personal Belongings
Students are responsible for their own personal belongings. Items brought to class should be clearly labeled when appropriate.
Lingo Dice is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal property except where required by law.
18. Assumption of Ordinary Program Risks
The parent, guardian, or adult student understands that participation in classroom, art, movement, cultural, and hands-on activities may involve ordinary risks such as minor injuries, allergic reactions, or accidental property damage.
Participants agree to follow safety instructions and disclose relevant health or accommodation needs before participation. Nothing in these terms is intended to waive rights or responsibilities that cannot legally be waived.
19. Policy Updates
Lingo Dice may update these terms when reasonably necessary. The policy in effect at the time of registration will generally apply to that enrollment period unless a change is required for safety, legal compliance, or program operations.
Families will be informed of material changes that affect an active enrollment.
20. Agreement
By completing registration and submitting payment, the adult student or the student’s parent or legal guardian confirms that they:
- Have read and understood these terms;
- Agree to follow the policies of Lingo Dice Inc.;
- Have provided accurate registration and emergency information; and
- Have authority to register the student and accept these terms.
